Pics and Los to share in the next post, warning very long blah blah blah post, so if you want a coffee id get it first lol

Well for the past few months weve been very busy, doing there whole Drs thing to try and discover what is wrong with our little man, its been tests tests and more tests, without positive or reassuring results.

Weve been given the run around by several Drs, and now 10 weeks later are no closer to an answer than before, which really sucks.

First we went to see the Paedatrician after many months of me telling the Drs its not right my son cant talk, they all told me hed get better, how old is he theyd say, almost three my reply, ah hes fine no probs many children dont talk til they are three or older, or my favourite his brother talks for him ?? what the Jacks got less idea what he wants then us are they for real??
So we get to the Paedarician, after weeks of fighting with their secretary about needing to see someone ASAP we finally get an appointment with the Paedatrician, who sends us for numerous tests, bloods, urine, etc, and tells me to go for this EEG scan, (brain scan) just to cross it off his list. A couple of days go by and i finally book him in for EEG scan only to have to wait for two weeks to get it done. Scan completed we fast forward to next day at Gps surgery where Heidi is getting her shots, Gp tells me all bloods have come back fine, not sure what to do now, youll have to wait to see Pasedatrician again. That night we are eating dinner and get a phone call from the Paedatricians office, we need you to bring blake in tomorrow, to start treatment, ive been discussing the results with the head of Neurology (wait hold up the head of neurology, WTF??) and weve decided that Blake needs to start treatment for this rare type of Epilepsy (Landau Kleffner Syndrome) that is making his Brain fit, he will need to be hospitalized for at least three days, well see how he goes.. see you Friday morning at 6 (huh?? all still very overwhelmed i got off the phone and tried to explain to Paul)

So for the next eleven hours i researched the internet for answers to the mystery illness that was apparently the cause for my sons problem, the first few minutes were mind numbing, im not sure but when you are affected greatly by something your body just goes into shock, i couldnt fathom what i was reading , my son, our little boy is never going to talk, he will eventually loose all understanding of our language, these children are affected for the rest of their lives although in most cases the Epileptic seizures cease at about 15, and the scariest part, there have only been about 250 reported cases since 1957 when it was discovered, how are you going to fix him when you dont know how??

So we get to the hospital and the Drs really has no answers other than well see how this goes, WTF?? Head is spinning, see how what goes??
so we go through the traumatic experience of getting the IV line in which was a mission that involved 7 people, just to hold him down and one to put it in, he starts treatment and we stay at the hospital for the weekend, none knows anything and people are asking me what is wrong with him?? what you people are the Drs here not me, finally comes Monday and we see another Paedatrician, who it the head of Paedatrics, here on the Gold Coast, im thinking great finally somebody who will give me some answers.

Hi Dr just wondering if youve got any other information on this Landau Kleffner Syndrome?? hoping you could help me understand what is happening??
Dr replys in very polite voice, um im not really sure ma'am for all we know (flicks through files) Blake could have Blake Corliss syndrome, my heart just sank to the floor , what?? arent you going to help him, oh yes ma'am well do all we can for him, just the reaction differs from patient to patient and so we just have to treat it as it comes.

FAST FORWARD a few weeks and we get to see the Head of Paediatric Neurology at Brissy hes a lovely Dr who seems very keen to understand this syndrome and has been on several telephone conferences with Drs in Seattle and somewhere in Norway where they seem to be taking kids for USA and Europe to they have conflicting reports and feel blake should go for more tests including and MRI to assess if it is LKS or some other type of problem, (which they havent specified, but ive read the symptoms of this syndrome can also be caused by a brain tumor or lesions on the brain
Yesterday we have been for the test MRI Scan and also on Monday we went for a repeat EEG scan to see if medication is having any affect, hopefully we will have some answers by next week although we dont see the Neurologist again until the 7th

so there has been my last few months, weeks, in a whirlwind of caious and confussion, and we are still no closer to an answer than before, still in limbo waiting for the next lot of tresults to come in and tell us an new story, hopefully this ones better thats all i can pray for right now is a better ending for our little man, no matter how many times you think it cant get any worse it just dose and seems to come and knock you flat on your arse again... im sick of that feeling, flat on my arse, not way out..

i guess thats how my blog feels, but after running around after three crazy little people all day i just dont seem to find the time or energy to update it, hopefully this wuill all change and we can get some regular updates, on here, well ill try lol

LO of Heidi, really all ive done all year, um mah isnt that naughty, still been buying stuff though, hopefully ill get to use it soonish..

Oh and lucky that silly Easter bunny finally come as he brought mummy a new camera, (Canon 400D, which she is very impressed with i might add,) now ive just got to learn how to use the darn thing, ive been trying and getting some thibngs sorted on it, although the manuial that comes with it isnt the most informative little object, ive learnt more from the 12 week photography course (that they are just finishing up this week) at two peas, its been really great for the begin from the begining again type novice like me , although im sure everyone could learn something new from this course, it is very good. Will be looking at a TAFE course for photography in the new semester at the local TAFE, hopefully i can go at night when Paul comes home from work.

In other news, we put our plans into council about two or three weeks ago and they rang yesterday for another bit of paper work, (im telling you they could have regenerated another forest with the amount of paperwork we had to take in, forms for everything from a driveway, approval, to sewrage and stormwater applications, and an environmentle study of the surrounding area to see how it will be affected by our property, i ment its a residential area, so what kind of impacvt do they expect it to have, anotherr house in the street ??/lol)

but this other [paperwork they needed means that we will be able to start building soon, yay cant wait can you tell im excited, well i am, have been waiting for this moment for so long, everything just seems to keep going wrong but now, nothing can stop us, and hopefully well be in by about Sept, touch wood the weather holds off for the rest of the year lol, but at le3ast by christmas, YAY!!! doing a little happy dance around here.

Been involved in a card swap with Kristina Contes, (love her stuff, just cant seem to pull it off myself , thoughive got an orginal piece of Art right from her studio, and that makes me happy:) just got to get off my butt and make hers now, and send it all the way over there, will post a pic when i photograph it later.

Well sort of just a bit late as per usual, these days, everything seems to be running a little behind the 8 ball and i just hope that as soon as the boys go back to school next week, ill be able to slowing but surely dig my way through my list of things to do and get something achieved.

Well, weve had an exciting holidays and are now the official owners of one regular sized block of land that in the coming months will slowly transform into our new house, cant wait til all the work starts... YAY the "biggest diggers" quote by Jack, will be on the scene and doing their stuff by next weekend.

Over the holidays we went for some photos with the extreemly talented Ali who will have our photos and oh oh this lovely big/hugh canvas, from our pics at the beach just before Heidi was born, cant wait to get these. Told Paul hell have to hurry up and build our house so i can put them up somewhere LOL

Ive also managed to scrap a few LOs this week, hopefully this is another thing ill have more time for when the boys are back at school.The first one ive been stumped on for weeks and am glad i got it done, typical Blake personality, determined to do everything Jack does even if theres a chance he'll kill himself or cause a major injury in the process... boys typical boys.

ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well im sure most who read this already know its a baby Girl we welcomed into our family on the 1st Novenber 2007 at 2:08 pm weighing in at 6lb and a half an oz

Heidi is doing well and Jack absolutly adores her, Blake well thats another story hes not to keen on the whole baby thing is is taking his sweet time to come around too, LOL thats just Blake for you

{Thats Life Challenges

Well ive been slowly but surely working through these Thats Life Challenges from Nic Howards new book, they really are something different, everyone seems to be getting into the scrappin real life events instead of beautiful pics of their kids and i say go for it isnt this why we scrap to remember the little things life is all about the details, little things that get forgotten and lost in the husstle and bustle of daily living, i just hope i can keep up with it, so i stay motivated.

I cant wait to get the book and have a good read through, it seems like something you could do every year or once a month, i bet you could even make a little book on each topic if you had the time.

Lesson 1. Record a Daily Diary - but instead of recording the actual events, record the conversations, funny things that were said and the things that made you smile or laugh during the day.

Jack has just started to tell us that he loves us as big as the whole world, (from me telling him i love him more than anything in the whole world,) and Blakey too, i hope he always feels this way.

Lesson 2. Things I would Miss - meaning take a look at the routines that make up your life, the constants that you don't realise you will miss until somthing changes or it's no longer done.

I already miss this :O( nap time, i took this pic in February this year and its the last time Jack and Blake have had a nap together, (im sure its the last day nap Jack has had) im lucky to get just Blake down for a little rest now, they just wanna go go go...

Lesson 3. Daily Frustrations - you know the things that drives you nuts, things that annoy you and make life difficult at the moment, these things might only be temporary (teenager habits and lack of help/sticking to house rules etc.)

I am still yet to complete this final frustrations challenge as i have so many of them narrowing it down to just one is becoming somewhat of a problem, see this is where the little book idea comes from i could write a new book everyday LOL

Oh and if anybody has any great suggestions for a baby name im all ears, only three weeks to go and still no certain name for our little one, i cant decide on anything ive got some names i dont mind but nothing really that i just love, oh well im sure it will come.

{ Just a Layout or Two

Just a quick couple of LOs to share, the first is of my beautiful little men just sleeping where they drop quiet common after a day running around at the beach wearing themselves out. Loved using all these new Jenni Bowlin products i just ordered, they arrived in speedy time and she will ship straight to you from her studio and the prices are really awesome, not too much for postage either, gotta love that CHEAP postage.

And this second one is a LO of Blakes first Birthday, we had a little BBQ in the park although hes almost two and a half now, i really need to pull my finger out and get these LOs done berfore the kid turns three already LOL well ill get there eventually i guess...

In other exciting news we had a photoshoot with the most gorgeous Ali who is the bestest photographer out there if you live near the Brisbane area or are up this way on holidays do yourself and your family a favour and organise for her to come and do you a photoshoot too, it will be guaranteed to be one of the funniest days youve had in a long time if you are willing to play nice and get dirty you wont be dissapointed im sure, cant wait to share some of the pics from the day just waiting on the editing process which i know can take weeks to do, (through playing with my own photos) but i have had some previews and am just amazed by the quality of these pics, cant wait to share...

{SLACK SLACK SLACK BLOGGER

Yes ive been really slack blogging as ive just been so busy getting everything ready for when the baby arrives, and doing the spring cleaning, packing etc. Well with the arrival of baby number three only weeks away, its has gotten me thinking that ive been really slack about my scrappin, and have discovered a mountain of pics and info that i still havent scrapped for Blake (from when he was born), so im making this little book, inspired by a project by Emily at Two Peas and am using this to record all the birth story, facts and some cute pics from his first few weeks in it, its really coming up well, although im sure its still not going to be finished by the time this next baby arrives with the rate of scrapping getting done ATM im sure it wont be LOL

So as you can see its still in the semi finished, not really heaps of work to go stage, LOL almost finished ha ha maybe by the time these kids are in high school ill have started to catchup on their pics sort of. I feel free in the knowledge that teens dont like to have their pics taken a great deal so ill have plenty of time to catch up then LOL

Other than that ive done a few LOs although theyll have to wait for another day as blogger seems to hate me ATM and wont allow any more pics :-(

In other news, the boys are slowly getting over this dreadful bug that seems to be dojn g the rounds, they get better, go to school on Thursday and then are unwell all week again until school, they just seem to pick up something new every week and its driving me bonkers

Blake, seems to be trying to get somke more words out although they still seem as though they are stuck in his throat, but hes trying.

Jack has mastered the 1 - 20 although he seems to leave out 15 quiet regularly and its not going to stop now whats next mummy, 21-29 then its twenty ten?? what the?? 20-10. Hes just on this constant learning binge, which is good but testing my patience, with the whats this every 5 seconds and his latest little saying is "Mummy are we there, are we there yet???"

with my newest little friend, the Bind it all Machine, i got a voucher for my birthday from the LSS for this, as ive been telling Paul ive wanted one for ages, but he wasnt to sure when he walked into the shop so he just got a voucher, typical male, cant go near things that are or look like there girls stuff, cant wait to go and play with it. Ive been wanting to get this album done of my grandparents wedding for ages now and now ive got no excuse to make a special little album just about their special day, and i got a whole heap of these new Kasier PPs too how yummy are these, just thought theyd be dodgy when i heard of them but they are awesome DSided and thick too, lovely colour selections and a variety of colour schemes too, love them YUM.

Just a quick little LO i did the other day, just of me and Jack, the Graph lifts up to be some hidden journalling held down by the new Basic Grey Magnetic snaps (these are so cool and easy to use, lightweight) you gotta love that.

In other news, Jack has a bad case of Conjunctivtus, (SP???) and really doesnt seem to be able to get rid of it, not with the drops, cream or just salty water, the poor little bugger, its taking it out of him too as hes usually really hyper all the time (most likely undiagnosed ADHD lol) but hes been very mellow and tired all the time which is very unlike him, but oh so nice for a change.

Blakes first day at school today all by himself i hope he goes well and isnt fretting for Jack too much, they really do love to hang out together and Jacks been asking all day can we go and get Blake now, please mummy?? how cute.

Oppps its July

and now where did June go???? down the toilet id be guessing with how sick ive been feeling. Heaps has happened since my last post but nothing really to write home about, so ill just be doing a little summary (of all the stuff i can remember)

So glad i finally got my car back and its looking like a shinny new one again, or shinnier and newer lookin than before, no thanks to the guys who did the work, shit, thats all i can say and im not a panel beater or spray painter, but it had to go back three times, yes count them one two three just to get everything finished, so dont ever go to Enterprise Collision Centre at Tweed or youll regret it and be without your car for weeks too
Paul's birthday was awesome, just went for a picnic and had a nice relaxing day while the boys played with their cousins
Blake's Birthday, wow my little guy is Two it seems like just yesterday that we were bringing him home for the first time, i cant believe how time flies, we spent the day at the beach where i just had to get one of these Shadow pics as seen on Alis blog, and i really love how its turned out
Been to tones of specialists for the little guy and his ears, they all seem to be fine, hes just an ignoramus little shit that doesnt listen and cant talk because of it, but hopefully the other specialist weve been seeing will rectify this as she seems to be having a real impact on the little fella which im really happy about
Been to the OB for more appointments and have also been for an ultrasound, after many delays and im sorry the Dr wont be able to see you now and we need to reschedual this appointment for the billionth time, the lady had to end up doing the scan at 5:30 when she should have been home already, just so i would be able to get in done in time ( before the end of the 22 week). so thankgod that all went well and this little baby has all ten fingers and toes so thats a relief too LOL, and its an active little one too, here is the baby doing flips of some discription, as these are the legs in fron t of the face, nosebutting, its shins, cute huh
Were moving, YAY i really love living here although there are so people around the area that i just could live my life perfectly fine without them around, outlaws, sisinlaws just to name a few, so now is the horrible job of finding somewhere and then buying the houise and then packing the stuff and moving thats gotta be the worst part although, we are going to be staying until the baby is born so i dont have to rearrange all that stuff and then hopefully ill feel like moving instead of finding a cave to crawl under
Cant wait til tonight off to do a class with Zina, its this cute little mini book and catch up with Val, cant wait just hopew that i feel okay for tonigh and can get something done

Im sure theres heaps of other things to tell, although if i dont finish this post it will end up like tones of others in the trash and ill never remember to write these things down.

{I hate Public Transport

just hate it i tell you, im so sick and tired of catching the bus everywhere, its bad enough to have no car for two weeks, ( although im one very happy camper as this means its in the shop getting fixed YAY!!!!) but im still not impressed with the having to catch public transport everywhere, and when you live in a small town and the only bus to town goes via every man and his dogs front yard, it really starts to get on your nerves, the worst thing being ive had to go to town four times this week and its only Saturday, ive had to go for Blood tests and take Blake to the hospital, to see specialists about his hips, which in the Drs words look fine to him, but if you really think theres something wrong feel free to bring him back ???? what the??? what kind of diagnosis is that???? So hopefully everything is okay... Tomorrow we are going to the dam to have a picnic lunch, as its Pauls birthday (the big 3 0h) and he doesnt really want to celebrate so we are just having a quiet lunch at the Dam and going fishing YAY not but thats what he will want to do so i spose i can oblige him for one day and do what he wants to do LOL, im keen on trying to snavel some scrap stuff into the car and just letting him and the boys go out on the water, well see what happens.. Jack seems to be very out of sorts this week as last week was mothers day this week it Daddys Bday, next week its Blakeys Bday and when is it his turn he keeps telling me tomorrow is his Bday (everyday ) so im sure hes going to be a little disappointed when Blakes Bday comes next week and then there is nothing for him, but hell get over it, hes only just stopped telling us (about three or four weeks ago) that Santa will be coming tomorrow, ummm i think not he doesnt have that many toys sorry buddy ;( Well im off to make some sausage rolls and pasties for tomorrows lunch and to wrap presents before Paul gets homwe from work, Jack is busy painting the wrapping paper now, its sounds like hes making a big mess, id better go see

well ive gotten to scrap over the weekend, i think it was like a Mothers Day present or something like that. i got totally spoiled rotten with a little sleep in, that didnt last too long, (jack had to come and tell me that breakfast was ready and i needed to sit up properly to eat it, LOL kids huh) an enormous breakfast in bed and then got up to find the most gorgeous dressing gown that seems to have padding on the outside as well as on the inside, its just awesome, and i was needing another one as ive had the last one for almost 4 years now, two lots of baby spew and two lots from me too LOL. i also received a slow cooker, who said you cans give cooking devices on Mothers Day (although ive been whinging for a new one so i cant complain).

I even got another two LOs done, that i cant share just yet, loving the fact that Erica taught me how to fix my printer so now ive been able to print at home again finally, (how do you get a broken new printer??? go figure) but its all good now so ive been a happy little camper, since then, except for the sick feeling for about 20 hours of the day, everything else seems to be fine.

Off to the specialist this morning for Blake as he seems to have a hip problem, im fingers and toes and toenuts crossed hoping its just something minor, they are looking at putting him in plaster for 4 - 6 weeks, how do you plaster hips, essp of a nappied baby???, hes almost two but still now where near out of nappies and they wanna plaster my poor little man, its not fair, but if it has to be done then it will only be for his benefit, im hoping that they just say we are overly concerned and everything will be fine.

Well i better get my but off this chair and go and get ready

Erica set this sketch challenge on the SCRAPBOXX forum and ive gotten it done on time too LOL , usually i always get these challenges done a day week late, but no this time, i got it done on time and uploaded on time Whooo, now thats a miracle.. and so is this...

Oh and yes im pregnant, oh and no im not going to find out what sex the baby is, ohh and no i dont care if i have another boy (tell you the truth it will actually be easier, i wont have to buy any clothes LOL and thats half the cost, besides the nappies) oh and yes im probably the first woman in history who wants to go overdue, im due at the end of October 4 days off my eldest DS's Birthday, i hope i dont have the baby on his birthday and i really dont want to be in hospital on his birthday either, so late will be fine with me, im saying that now at 14 weeks, its easy to say things like this now, in another 20 weeks or so ill just be screaming get this kid out of me LOL the joys of pregnancy

{STILL IN SHOCK

What the??
im still reeling from the shock of the events that occured here on Saturday night, so much for a quiet one at home in front of the TV.
At 7:30 i was getting stroppy with the boys theyd been running around like crazy fruit loops since some time after lunch and getting onto 730 i had had enough of it, were getting ready for bed and thankfully with all that running around they both seemed to oblige me for this, so we get them to bed then Jack says i need to do a poo (sometimes his way of being silly at bed time, needing to go to the toilet constantly), while taking him to the toilet Paul ever so gentleman like went out the front to piss on the fence, when he saw head lights speed ing up the street and they appeared to be coming straigh for him, so he dove into the front garden as some F@#King idiot mounted the curb, (after fishtaling up our street) and continued to proceed straight towards him, (dont you turn your wheel in these situations, so you dont plough straigh through peoples cars and fences??)where he collected the front of Pauls truck, then proceeded onto smash and slide right up the side of my baby forcing my car through our front fence, well the result three banged up cars, police chases through out Cabba, parties being crashed down the street and lots of people going to jail, not me LOL
We were really lucky with everything that happened the cops got him and his totalled Ute, he rang us the next day and by rights has offered to pay for all expences, althoguht the tow truck driver and Paul seem to think my car will be a wrightoff so now ive got the lovely job of sorting quotes and trying to get it fixed for the rest of the week, not really the way i want spend my week.

Well here my poor little baby now, you can see the passenger side damage, as it is crushed into the bin and palms in these photos but it not that bad the major damage, is those doors eek, see the angle my car is on in comparison to the footpath?? my car is usually parked parralell to the footpath, and not squished into our bin LOL im not that bad a driver, some drunken freak asked the poilce if thats what id done, is anyone that stupid to crash their car into their own front fence and then ring the cops, i doubt it. So all of this happened before it was even a quater to 8 i thought thats when a party started, obviously im getting old LOL.

Well i hope everyone elses weekend was a lot better, hopefully it will all be sortrted soon, fingers crossed

Ive finally scrapped a LO doing the weekly challenge that Erica has set for SCRAPBOXX to do a LO containing the words "if only." As my LO says if only heaps of things, i wouldnt be me who i am today if only this and that so thats what my journalling is about.

IF ONLY

Still trying hard to get the mojo flowing here , been doing heaps of crap just playing and fiddling with stuff, not very productive i know but its the best form of procrastination that ive found LOL.

ive finally just received my latest copy of FK and my lovely friend Megan has scored the cover WTG Girl love this LO and all of the rest of your work is just fantastic too, cant wait to check out the rest of the mag after i organise lunch etc. for the boys and finish the washing..

Been hung up at the Drs with my Little man three times this week as he has a sort of stiff hip, been for xrays and now just waiting til this arvo to see the extent of the damage, could be just irritated and will heal its self, but he could need a plaster cast on his hips, how will he have a nappy on was Pauls first question something i didnt even think of, they might drill a hole for his doodle to come out and leave a hole for him to poop through?? realistically this isnt going to happen but its sounds really odd when you thin k of how it will work, so fingers crossed that everything is okay and the little man will be fine.

Well i hope everyone has an awesome weekend and we all get to have a little me time, hopefully some inspiration comes flying through the window at me..

{Brats, the holidays can test your patience

Well ive had an extremely busy week with Drs, Nieces and just a little bit of excitement, more on that later.

We've had our nieces over, for three days this week, sleeping for two nights, they only went home yesterday and today im buggered, i really feel for you mothers out there that have several children, ive only got two but throw those cute little nieces in and it seems like a house full of wild bulls, running from 6am through till about 9pm where they drop to bed every night in a crumpled mess. Its really great for us to have them as Paul and his Sister dont speak, so its just awesome to spend time with them without there being an audience, weve done all the girly things like painted toes and briads in their hair, they really enjoy it too as Cindy is a single mother so it makes a nice change for them to see a whole family together, doing things the way they all seem like simple things to me, but to see their little faces when breakfast was made and we got to do the girly stuff, is just soooo worth every second of their yelling and fighting, that always accompanies the first day while they wind down a bit.
im really disappointed that i didnt take really any photos, i was to in the moment to stop and be a scrappy mum/aunty at the time and im really glad i did, it soooo takes away from the moment when someone stouts out for you to smile, cheese, or look this way.

I did get this photo of Jasmine after we'd been to the tatooist LOL $6 for a tatoo, so i though id get another pain free one this time and heres the proof (photo courtesy of Jasmine), Amber wasnt too keen on having a Tatoo, so she got her hair wrapped instead but it was really hard to get a picture of this as its from somewhere under her haed, not at the top where you can see it LOL so whats the point, hmmm...she got it and i had to pay for LOL ( it im sure
that was it.)

Been to the Drs twice this week just my luck the nurse was sick the first time so i had to go back the next day, its just such a waste of time driving in and out of town to get things done only to find the darn place closed , they could have rang and said she was sick.

Been really busy trying to scrap some LOs but getting stuck on things waiting for this order to come that has some really yummy letters in it i just NEED to use today, not next week LOL, another order gone AWOL, looks like the Aussie Post system is getting worse, i have just received back a letter that i sent to a lady in Sydney before Easter, just returned no reason, im sure i used the correct addy, but im off to check that out also this arvo and hopefully have it on its way to you this arvo, so sorry for the delay Susan, there will now be a RAK included in that too.

Well all these half finished LOs will have to wait til some time over the weekend when i get the urge to scrap, right now i just wanna hot bath and then off to bed, but i will have to try and stay up for the footy tonight as its an Australian game, and well ive gotta support those Aussies Boys Oi Oi Oi..

{ Why i Scrap

Just been sorting though some old photos from my mums and have come across a little treasure trove of photos and old merobilia from the 40s and 50s, im really happy my grandfather was an avid photographer, just some awesome shots ive come across recently, while filing old pics away..

I really loved these picture of the harbour bridge, it would have been about 15 years old here, Sydney looks a little different now from back in the 1940's, shame i didn't find them a couple of weeks ago on the anniversary, but I've got it now, now to find a way to scrap these designating photos before they are lost forever, although he was an avid photographer, my grandfather wasn't the best in keeping all these old photos and now they are fading and have deteriorated over the years, which is why i wanna scrap them before the memories are lost forever, this is why i scrapbook, to tell stories and try to give our future generations an insight into our lives. A lot of these photos are from slides, which I'm trying to get off my Uncle sometime this year..

Nothing too exciting, but i really loved this photo of my mum so i kept it really simple to show of the photo.

Must remember to take some lunch and to take money, theres are really limited ATMs at these places which always confuses me, if you wanna sell something, please let people have access to their money so they can LOL.

{WOW where has the week gone??

ive been so busy organising Easter that i just got a bit lost last week, still havent uploaded my LOs and im still got a whole ton of Scrappers Block on my hands, but hopefully, that will all end today (fingers crossed) as ill have the whole day to play with my stuff, while the little nieces mind the boys for me, they just are really coming over for the day but they dont get to do anything else, as Jack is constantly calling out Amber, Jasmine come and play with me, or do this or that for him its great, its not me for a change LOL.
They really love it too and its great they seem to go home all tired and worn out which Nanny is extreemly happy about :o)

Well i was gonna upload my LOs but i will have to try again this arvo this stupid thing doesnt want any pictures

{Scrappers Block

Well i seem to truely have it LOL how to rid the darn thing is still to be answered....
I thionk its from pouring so much into one 'major' project, it really seems to drain the creativity outta ya and im struggling here to regain it, been thinking to much about things ive got to do and not doing them Porcrastinating is the word ive heard many use and for the record sometimes i think i can be the Queen of this.
Well in other news at least my house is starting to reseble a home again and the floor can be viewed at least enough to make a path to and from places like the loo LOL

I went and got myself as new printer on Thursday although im still not really clued on how it works it seems to print beautifully, i ended up with an Epson after going in there all gung ho about 'i want a Canon, Canon you hear me its the best', the salesman potietly explained to me that Canons were a great printer but the Epson will do a far superior job and is extreemly more ink efficient blah blah blah so i got the Epson LOL
Now just want it to print like my old one, i knew how to use it and it was for the dummies like me who dont want to BEEP around with the BEEEPING printer for four hours before you can print a page, but its all called learning and maybe by reading the book, ill be able to suss it out all little, read the manual, not really loving that idea, but ill give it a go and fingers crossed get some prints done today. Oh and another tricky thing it does it prints on the CD so when i figure it out i can print on the face of CDs how technology these days, straight on the disk push it in and out it comes all pretty looking with your photo (or whatever) on it.

Ive got a couple of quick LOs to share but that will have to wait till this arvo as i need another USB to attach my scanner up now and will be getting that today at the shops.

Just finished this LO last night, for a comp im entering and hopefully, ill go alright this time too, ive been selected to recieve immunity this week so hopefully i still get ta few votes.
This weeks challenge was, A Quote, some Ribbon and a Tag, dodgy scan but you get the idea...

LITTLE BUTTERFLIES

Was very dissapointed that the lovely Julie didnt make it through, i loved her page and thought that it should have made it too, not happy jane..

Cant wait to see what the next challenge is, but we get kept waiting til Mon morning and then we find out, so ill be keeping busy, busy busy this weekend just so idont want to scrap.

We are hopefully going to take the boys, to the local wildlife park ,they love it there and then for some lunch on Saturday and probably have a cruisy sunday just the way i like it, cant imagine in a few years when theyll have to go to training or sport on the weekends, thats going to be hactic, but good and i cant wait...

Taking the boys over to the beach today, and then going to have a photoshoot with my lovely little nieces (in the LO above) at the beach hopefully i will get a few good shots, 9,8,3,and 1 dont really go well together in a photoshoot but well try hey, see i can con the older ones, its Nannies Birthday soon, can we just take one good shot for Nannny please, and that usually gets them all to cooperate, except Blakey who does really care if you give him choccy (doesnt like it) or what if you get a good one of him, its rare, and youve got to be quick...

LO share, did this LO for a comp ive just entered and amazingly got through, was so stressing as ive got no printer, so i was sorting through these pics and just had to throw something together the day before it was due and made it through, how bizarre??? not really loving this Lo but it serves a purpose and tells a little bit to the boys so its all good.
The challenge was to use only two pieces of PP from different companies, 3 flowers and some bling, the next challenge is up this morning and i cant wait to get started on it just got to find myself a printer now and all will be good.

Oh and my stuff from Krys turned up this morning so im off to have a play with it and see what can be done, hmm now this is going to be a mission

but ive gotta get my butt into gear. Ive got LOs due for a comp ive entered, due by Friday and ive just had a letter off Krys from SM to do a commissioned LO oh wow, what do you do???? with three steps, techniques??? by April 4th, what the??anyone with advice for doing this i would be very grateful for this.
Just have to say WWWHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as the lovely Megan will be moving to Brissie next month and i cant wait til the nutter gets up here its going to be so cool, i just cant wait, jumping around my house with excitement.
Later today, im doing an online class with Kim and it looks so cool, (very organised, as she always seems) i just cant wait for the class to start, still got another 5 and a half hours.

Other news, the boys are both doing super at swimming, and Blake even kicked his feet yesterday, he normally much prefers to just get dragged up and down the pool , just kinda floating along, looks very cute but is very frustrating.. Jack will be moving up to the next class in a fortnight, she just wants him for one more lesson, then hes going to learn how to actually swim, with his arms and all, its going to be scary, he doesnt really get the whole arm thing, just thinks you can kick and get along that way, cant wait to see him in a few weeks as he should be flying.

Well im off to try an prep my journalling for this class, hopefully post my LO from Kims class up this arvo, if i finish it LOL fingers crossed..

{YAY ive been able to Scrap

Got this Lovely new Lime Tart kit on Wednesday and ive been going crazy scrappin every since. Love love love the colours of this months kit, Philippa really is awesome at selecting products that go together, the papers are awesome and in my fav colours and i really love this cool little chipboard dragonfly its just the cutest.
ive finished two LOs and a BTP already thats how much i love this kit.
So heres what ive got so far, just some very simple stuff here

SLOW DOWN

BE DIFFERENT, BE YOU

Both these LOs are of DS2 Blake, the first one has hidden journalling just telling him to slow down, he doesnt have to do everytrhing Jack does (i call it Second Child Syndrome LOL).

The second is just a snap of Blake i got on the bed watching TV upsidedown while doing a head stand, what the??? but how cute does he look??

Its too dark to take a photo of the BTP yet so ill post it later.

Today im off shopping YAY, havent had more excitment in weeks, cant wait for tonight , our nieces are coming over to babysit the boys while we go down the little local tavern for some dinner, (they are coming with us and its their job to go get the kids when then run away, theyve got this cool little play centre for the4 cdhildren to hangout in, with swings and slides etc, nbu they still find the front door, or the poker machines more entertaining and run off there to play, this is where the girls will come in very handy, so we dont have to get up every 5 seconds, and they think its great they race eachother to see who can catch them first, LOL its hilarious.

Well hopefully more LOs to share during the weekend, im off to go shoppin now, if i get it done before the other shops open, idont have a chance to spend, money on other stupid things, and will get home with enough time for the beach.

{Been Busy

Doing all kinds of things like tax and business paperwork, Arggggh, i really dispise paper work so it gets left til the end of the month when ill get really worried cause now i cant finish it on time and have to have a mad rush to get the stuff done, like working into the wee hours of the mornming preparing BAS statements , invoices and Tax etc.. yucky but its over now, and im so pleased for another month.

Scrap-A-Faire has been where ive been for the past two days, doing Tutes by the lovely Rhonna Farrer, the lovely Kim put me onto them and whoooo im so glad that i took her advice and went to these so educstional, and inspiring, great to get to see 'how' they put it all together too, im just in love with this new little digi wotrld ive found, not sure it will take over from normal scrappin, but good for something else to play with and im soo loving the idea of being able to make my own stamps and journalling spots etc all on this handy little programme with a few tips from the experts you can be too, or almost LOL, find the classes here but only for a limited time..

Im off to do another class now, oh and the coolest part i love is you can go into the class as many times as you want and still go back again stop and pause it if you get lost and ess. good for me is that she is really thorough in her presentation so you just get it.
Except for deleting, now how do you do that??

I got so inspired by the photos i took at the beach last week that i just had to scrap them now, i love keeping up with scrapping although i still need to do chrissy ones yet but hey thats okay, ill get there eventually, thats the freedom of our art we get to do it whenever we want to and with whatever no order, needed and i love it

Had to use the main photo in a LO all of its own just about that special little 'Surfboard' its his pride and joy LOL.

Didnt really do much over the weekend just hanging at home and went for a little splash at the beach on Sunday arvo but nothing much else to tell.

Im off to read my copy of FK, that just got here Grrrr, how long dose it take to get from Sydney to here a month?? seems as though ive been seeing this cover for awhile at the shops but only today in my letterbox, its not fair, while the boys have a little sleep, god bless them a little bit tiring the old swimming routine and theyve both crashed on the way home.

Oh a little bit exciting Jack swam across the pool all the way (a whole 12.5 metres), hes done this a few weeks in a row now but today was the first time he remembered to lift his head and breath, he usually just keeps kicking and paddeling away til he reaches the other side but today he breathed, he remembered, few, its all starting to come together..

Just off to pick up the boys from school, ive had a wonderful day off not much really achieved but somethings that really test your patientience with little ones in toe (like going to the bank)

{It Stopped

Raining and we got to go to the beach, YAY we went to Kingcliff for lunch and then took the "Surfboard" over to the beach and went for a "surf" didnt you know thats what three yr olds who can just swim do?? He always watching the older kids walking to the beach with their boards, can we go surfing mum, Pleeeease??
Surfing doesnt he know mum hasnt been on a Surf board for over 7 years now?? ive been tiold its like a bike and youll just get sraight back up but a bit chicken to try now with the post kidie bits and pieces IYKWIM?
maybe on day when they are old enough ill get back into it, maybe....
So heres some shots from our day Jack really lovesa the water as youll tell and Blake just isnt too sure about the whole thing, i dont think he likes all the sand on his hands or the water, or the waves, or really anything about the beach he just cried for about one and a half of the two hours we were there yippee, one who cant stand it and the other wont leave...hmmm

Really need to learn about all of this Digi stuff its really got me stumped... i just love playing with the bits and pieces and mixing and playing a bit more, not keen on all these layers and loosing my background into the computer somewhere and then not being able to find my text, argh... not happy Jan

Just got home from Swimming and the boys went really well, we got flooded with a tribe of school kids from the local school just as we left and then Jack didnt want to leave just wanted to hang out with the big kids.

Well weve been sick all week, nothing much getting done just trying to stay home and rid ourselves of this dreadful flu weve all picked up , Men went theyre sick are such wimps its not funny, Pauls been whining all week cause he cant get rid of this stupid coldm and ive been secretly going he he he, cause im normally the one who cant rid the thing for weeks and tyhis time its him and i still (touch wood) havent really gotten it that badly.

Just found this awesome blog through the lovely Kims blog and its got some awesome tips for playing with your photos and making things (like brushes) for photoshop, YAY!!! im addicted and ive made about 20 stamps already LOL i cant believe how easy it is, well most things are when you learn how.

no LOs to share as ive been busy working on a big project (one of those Dannielle boxes with all the little books) that requires lots of Pattern Paper covering, im really over it already, but im loving the look of it so i am inspired to keep going, for once, i usually get things half finished and dont like the look of them so i just put it up on my shelf for another day, my mission this year is to try and finish them.. well ill try LOL (sorry for the dodgey pic, not much light here ATM)

So heres the outside of my box, inside is covered but nothing interesting in there yet, still havent finished the outside really but im getting there, just waiting on a big order of the new BG Scarlets Letter to arrive to finish the little books and to add a little of the paper out here somewhere to tie it all in, ive used Creative Imaginations PP for the outer cover, along with some other bits and pieces..

Hopefully going to get a LO done today as im waiting on more PP but ive promised Jack we would go to the beach today as well so hopefully i can take thye Boys down there for the moring and then when we come home they might have a little sleep, fingers crossed...

Hope everyone is having a great Valentines day, i got a new book off Paul ive been eyeing it off a the shops for a few weeks now and even ripped it out of the catalogue and stuck it too the fridge, see, ill get what i want for V day even if it takes all my energy and 5 years of trying. Im not really a flower person ,sure i love them , but i could use something else better they just sit there trying to look pretty till i feel theyve done their duty and get game enough to throw them away, uauslly when they are drying out in the Vase..

{Something ive finished

Just a couple of LOs to share still working on one thats just not happening hmmm, maybe ill try to start something else.

Well thankgoodness i didnt get burnt anymore on the weekend and came home relativly unscaved, not so much can be said for my children, i put suncream on them before i took them to the inlaws and left it there with them, yet somehowe both of my children came home with not so slight cases of Sunburn, which i wasnt very impressed about.

Just a couple of LOs ive tried to scraplift Kims christmas LO for the Boxx in the first one and the second one i was trying to get finished for Rozs weekly challenge at the Boxx.

i also just got an email from the lovely Philippa at Lime Tart and she wants to use one of my LOs in her newsletter tomorrow, im so excited.

Well im a little technically challenged (just a little LOL) its only taken me three days and very descriptive directions from my lovely friend Megan to get it up and going.
Most of you probably wont have heard of this song (its a bit old) Shimmer but its one of my faviourite songs and is a little tribute to one of my best friends Glenn who sadly passed away 7 years ago this month. I still get shivers up my spine and a tear to my eye everytime i listen to it but it means alot to me. I should have some LOs to share tomorrow (fingers crossed).

ive been so busy this week, i dont even remember having time to scratch myself, i love beening busy cause it keeps you active and all that but i really hate it when the washing starts to pile up and nothing seems to be getting done, ive been helping Paul at work for the last few days and its really buggered me, more than normal ,it doesnt help when you get burnt to a crisppy (no creme' in the middle) crisp, my own stupid fault, im always on at Paul to put on some sunscreen, and to keep his hat on and what did i do?? go and get really burnt (stupid, feeling a bit sorry for myself) but im going to wear a t- shirt today and hopefully thatll save me a bit. Well im off to work.. fingers crossed for no burning today...

Well ive been busy , not that they took a great deal of effort but, ive scrapped some YAY!!!!
Im off right now to play with this Yummy Kit i just got from LimeTart im so excited about it, its got this totally terrific Blue, Kraft and red theme, once you check it out im sure you will want some too..
So here are the LOs ive done today and hopefully ill get a chance to do another one tonight

{Just random stuff

Well we had a great anniversay, it was awesome, still had the kids but their part of us so you get that, we went to Sizzler for dinner, the boys love it there lots to choose from and they always eat a ton of fruit and vegies too, went for a quick flutter on the pokies and lost $50 not happy about that, then Paul had a turn and won $100 so he got miner back and won himself $50 which was good , just to pay for dinner (our boys are both still *free* at Sizzler, love getting in with the kids for free).
We had a no presents rule which i broke but mine was only made then Paul suprises me with tickets for a trip to NZ we will be going in August YAY!!! cant wait to go..

Well ive decided a few weeks ago that i was going to JUST DO IT and get my LOs done but after several days of playing and just creating ive ended up with more un finished projects then before, with paint you wait, then you get onto something else and then something else and before you know it your in a table full of mess, as seen below:

Hopefully byt the end of the day ill have a LO or two to share, fingers crossed for peace and quiet just for an hour, so i can get something finished hmmm doubt it but ill try..

{ SO MUCH FOR MY DAY OFF

Well today was ment to be my day off the Kiddies have both sarted school on Thursdays and its ment to be mums time, well i went to take Paul his Luch after droppin gthe boys off and got stuck there for hours, and hours helping out, his new apprentice thinks hes really cool as you do at 15 so i though id show him a thing or two, hmmm iran blocks over sand and carried barroqws full of 'mud', anyone with a brickie for a hubby will know its not cement that holds the bricks 2gether its 'mud' !!! So anyway i gave young Dale a run for his money and by lunch time i was buggered, but so was he so that was the funny thing (hes only started working for us just before chrissy, so hes really not used to it yet, but hell get there) i heard him tell Paul, your missus knows more about laying bricks that i do, what does he expect after almost 6 years of it hmm, its so funny to hang out with him hes still so young and thinks were soooo old, it just really reminds me of my teenage years....

So with all of this i didnt get time tio scrap at all not happy about that but it was a fun day and it might have made him think twice before he makes another bet with me LOL

well im off to finish Pauls anniversary present, 5 yeasrs weve been together for tomorrow, hopefully we will be able to go out for dinner and drop the kidlets at Nannies for awhile, fingers crossed

{Just been playing

Just a couple of LOs to share, i did this first one for Nics weekly challenge at scrapboxx, use some ribbon scraps and hearts, and this second one i did for just a little play love just cre8ing for the fun of it, sometimes i think i could play scrappin all day, although its not a game i just love to get messy and find something finished at the end.

Ive always though to myself, (i love Ericas work just so simple and plain but always speaking volumns to the readers,) your a simple scrapper, which in a way i am, but ive just discovered Emliy Fs blog awhile ago now and she is really inspiring me, im loving the fiun of just playing and seeing what i create out of it, i used to think her work was just junk on a page (sorry Emily) but its not its so much more than that she creates for her to have a legacy for her family and i think its beautiful, that she is so passionate about her work and creating that she sets a special time each week just to get crearive even if she doesnt really make a page as such ,it gets your juices flowing and reminds you why you started to keep a legacy of memories for our children, and their children and then , theirs. So go get messy and just play for a day you might be surprised what you come up with... i know i was

Okay so im getting caught up no more half finished LO that will sit around for weeks finish these LOs girl and get it down, because as Ali Edwards will say ITS OKAY, just do it, i learnt alot from her in August not to be so worried what anyone thinks of my work, its mine and they dont have to like it its for me and my family, so there

Challenge 1: Make your own clear flower embellishments

Challenge 2: Choose a word or two words and repeat them on your LO

Challenge 3: Make it Sparkle add a little Bling

Challenge 4: Scraplift a colour combo

i havent really completed this challenge no 4 as i am really willing to use most/all colours on a LO havent seen one that id like to try,hmm maybe ill come back to this one

Challenge 5: Start with a number - make a top 10 list, look for number-themed accents to build your page around. Build a page around a phone number, shoe size, an age, a year or even a good luck number

not really sure about this one though, now this is when id love the book so i could see what Elsies done an relate her topic to page IYKWIM?? so im off to try and get some of this done this arvo when i get back from taking the boys swimming at Banora

Just finally today (i swear i live at the end of the earth) have i gotten my sumitters copy of SC 38 i cant believe that it takes so long to come sometimes , the next issue will be out before i finish pouring over this one, and i still havent got my subscribers copy of FK yet either?? what the?? it was out in the stores on Wednesday so why is it Mon and i still dont have one not happy Jan.Well heres my LO in this SC its in the Got any Blacker section, right at the end as usual, hmmm not sure if its the last name or not but they always seem to be the last ones

and im going to do Emily Falconbridges Art Journal Class, ive found some cards so now im off to start playing, i really love the idea of this just to get5 creative on a small scale so you can do something for you
shes already done the 3rd week so ill have to get a wriggle on here as i have also started the Elsie Flannigan 52 Challenges at the BOXX too and have only completed one umm a bit naughty but im getting back into gear and the boys will be both giving me a full day of peace for me on Thursdays now, so ill be able to play all day yay!!!

Just have tio say that i recieved my BOS Jan from Scrapboxx and its awesome, you get 5 different DS pp as well as 1/2 scalloped edge CS , HS letter, some Bookworks stickers, and this awesome date stamp designed by Erica Glover, ive been playing with the kit all weekend (it arrived on Friday) and wow ive created 4 pages and still have left overs, so here are three , the other one ive got to finish the journalling on it still, will upload it when im done.

{Back in the swing

Well today we all had to get back to some sort of routine, Pauls gone back to work although im not sure how much longer he will be working in the area, he got a big job to do on the Northside of Brissy and well probably go and stay for a month or so up there, it just is too far to drive three hours to work let alone drive home again hes stuffed and the boys are in bed already it hardly feels like hes here and we go through a ton of petrol which isnt go ATM with the prices the way they are...

Ive also been busy tring to do some scrappin' and cant seem to stop using these scalloped edge borders on my pages i really think that KIM Archer (not sure how to link it) really does this well for a variety of topics , her LOs are so easy to lift (sorry Kim) to some degree, as you could do your pages on aq variety of topics. The first one is of Jack, Blake didnt want anything to do with Santa hats or Reindeer Ears this year maybe next year...
and the second one is of my lovely niece Amber and Jack when she was going home from coming to visit on the school holidays...

{1st Day at School OMG

Well little Blake had his first day at Preschool today, i was so emotional at the beginging and then finally composed myself to take a few photos of the little man before we left. Apparently he was fine i went and got him at 11:30 just so he only had a half day and he was almost about to fall asleep eating his lunch, how cute?? As soon as he saw me he waqs wide awake again and didnt drift of for asleep at all theat arvo he was making sure i wasnt leaving him again i think.

He was so happy to go back and get Jack in the Afternoon he didnt want to leave agian, so he will probably go for the whole day next week. Heres the photos i took before we left...

In the morning i got to do some scrappin and went for al ittle shop but i still didnt get anything finshed, hmmmm not happy about that, so im trying tomorrow to actually finish a page

Not much happening here other than going to the beach and just relaxing, i really love Summer its such a family time of the year and with that being one of my resolutions for the year (to spend more time with them) i love it plus we live right across the road which makes it a little easier to access the beach and come home whenever we're sick of it..

Just a couple LOs to share not much scrappin going on here yet still in the lazy Chrissy mode hopefully will get back into the swing of things soon....

ive decided im gonna start to blog so i can keep a track of all my LOs and get a little more oganised,hmm well keep a track of all of my LOs thats the poiunt of it, maybe i might even remember to put down in here the photos ive taken so i remember when i took them, hmm that probably wont happen either but its here now and looks like its gonna stay, so there!!
It will take me weeks to learn how to organise this thing so i probably wont have many LOs to share at the begining byut hopefully it wont take too long.
Oh and just a quick note SPELLING IS NOT MY STRONG POINT and i dont care so please refrain from telling me ive spelt things incorrectly cause i know LOL...
